“A video that came out of nowhere” – and memories of the biggest leak in the gaming world
Sometimes a single clip is enough to put an entire fandom on high alert. That’s exactly what happened again this week when a short video appeared on an anonymous Twitter account, allegedly showing fresh material from “GTA 6.” For many fans, it was déjà vu, as the wounds from Rockstar’s massive data leak in 2022 still run deep. At that time, nearly 90 gameplay snippets found their way onto the internet, turning the gaming landscape into seething chaos overnight.
🚨 GTA 6 LEAK ALERT – IT’S GETTING SERIOUS 🚨
A new video has just been posted by multiple anonymous accounts — and things are starting to get wild. 👀
The clip shows a leak that quietly surfaced yesterday, but here’s the twist:
it was apparently filmed INSIDE Rockstar Games… pic.twitter.com/pryp7piNS2— Zap Actu GTA6 (@zapactugta6) November 18, 2025
Now, another alleged behind-the-scenes glimpse: you can see a character clearly reminiscent of Jason running shirtless across a sidewalk. According to the post, the clip was even recorded inside a Rockstar office. “The clip quietly surfaced yesterday – allegedly straight from the building,” was one of the claims that spread like wildfire. Shortly thereafter, the internet was in an uproar.
It’s no surprise that the community is so quick to jump to conclusions.
Since the second postponement of “GTA 6” to November 2026, many fans have been hungry for any new scrap of information. The hope for a real leak was correspondingly high – perhaps too high.
“This is an old leak” – how the supposed scandal collapsed
But disillusionment followed faster than expected. Shortly after the viral breakthrough, the first experts spoke up, taking a closer look at the material. One of the best-known community analysts made it clear: “This is an old leak. Probably an old photo from the Rockstar office, just altered and turned into a video.”
The statement spread as quickly as the video itself. Another user, who had already meticulously documented previous leaks, agreed and described the whole thing as obvious manipulation.
In his opinion, it is a screenshot from a tweet from January 2025 that was later artificially animated. This makes it clear that although the clip looks deceptively real, it has no new connection to the development of “GTA 6.”
For many players, this is reassuring – after all, no one wants Rockstar to end up in another massive security crisis. Others, however, are disappointed, as they would have loved to see real, unadulterated material. And so the question remains: when will Rockstar finally show us something new? After all, it will be another year before the next big open-world colossus is due to be released.
