“That’s brilliant!” – Not enough large maps in Battlefield 6? You can now play Conquest on parts of the Battle Royale map.

The comparatively small maps in Battlefield 6 are causing frustration in the community, but Portal is a tool that can help counteract this.

Anyone who plays Battlefield 6 and isn’t interested in Battle Royale hasn’t gotten much out of Redsec except for some initial annoyance with the challenges. But the community is using the map of the new game mode to solve a multiplayer problem: the lack of really large maps.

How Redsec is being repurposed for multiplayer maps

With Portal, players can create their own modes and also modify the maps using the SDK tool. Although it is not possible to build your own maps from scratch, there are numerous ways to redesign the official maps.

The complete Redsec map is not (yet) available in Portal, but two parts of the map are available to creative players. You can see what they can do with “Clubhouse” and “Technology Center” in the following Reddit post:

Two New BR Maps with Three Conquest Gamemodes!

With Portal, the two available sections of the BR map were used to create three new Conquest maps.

  • Club House (code: z2wxc / with bots, code: z3cp6) –  A large Conquest map with vehicles and helicopters
  • Tech Center (ode: z2tfr / with bots, code: z4ycg) – A large Conquest map for infantry only
  • Operation Tech Center  (Code: z36s8 / with bots, Code: z3ey8) – A smaller and linear Conquest map for infantry only.

How can you play the maps?

In the Community section of the main menu, go to “Find Experiences” and enter the experience code above. You can then either search for a community server where the map is being played or host one yourself.

Community reacts enthusiastically

Under the post, many users praise the work of the players and hope that the maps will get more attention so that there will be well-filled servers.

“This is brilliant. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they actually include it in the official map rotation. For now, I’ll just play around with my squad on the maps.” – P90Zeta

“I’m going to try it out now! Sounds really interesting.” – millucid

“You don’t like the smaller cards? Then just change them yourself! That’s awesome, well done!! Can we please get 10,000 upvotes for this instead of hearing the same boring jokes about skins that aren’t green or beige over and over again? We have the opportunity to improve the game in Portal itself, but if you’d rather hate than be constructive, you’re just as much a part of the problem!“ – RiggityRow

Both maps are currently still being refined and are not yet fully developed. Finding full servers is also still difficult at the moment, which is why many users are calling for more attention to be paid to such map projects. Currently, only parts of the BR map are available. Should that change, there is great potential to create more and even larger maps with Portal.
