At gamescom 2025, Time Takers, a new third-person shooter, was unveiled, featuring a completely new concept: Time is not only the limit here, but also your most important resource. Every second that ticks away on your clock is also your life energy.

Not only do you have to fight against other teams in battle royale style, but you also have to keep a constant eye on the time. Defeated opponents drop valuable seconds that you must collect to survive. At the same time, time also serves as currency that you can use to upgrade weapons and abilities during the match. Will you opt for a powerful upgrade and risk your life in the process?

Time Takers is being developed by Mistil Games and will be released by NCSOFT in 2026 as a free-to-play title. What do you think of this unique concept? Let us know in the comments!
