Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era will launch at the end of 2025 as an early access title, but it still promises to be a substantial package right from release.

You will be able to choose between six factions: Temple, Necropolis, Sylvan, Dungeon, Hive, and Schism. The latter are completely new and were unveiled at gamescom 2025.

With their tentacled monsters and cultists, they are strongly reminiscent of the Cthulhu mythos. In the faction reveal trailer from developer Unfrozen, you can not only admire the Schism units in action, but also get an impression of their icy capital. And for stats nerds, there are even all the unit values.

At gamescom, you could also play the promising strategy game in detail behind closed doors. In Heiko’s detailed preview of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era, you can read why it was his personal highlight of the trade fair.
