The upcoming real-time strategy game AoE 4 is always the subject of discussions about its graphics. Our poll reveals how critical you are of it.

The three original parts of the Age of Empires series were rated very well by many players at the time, both in terms of the playful qualities and the visuals.

The upcoming fourth part, on the other hand, is often rated very negatively, especially with regard to the visuals. We wanted to know what you think of the graphics of the latest AoE game in a survey.

How do you like the graphics of Age of Empires 4?

The result of the poll shows that Age of Empires 4 will probably not succeed in terms of graphics. However, you are relatively lenient with the game.

Only just over 21 percent think the game looks “bad” or even “very bad”, while just over 45 percent rate the graphics as “good” or “very good”. About a third of you ultimately find the visuals “mediocre”.

There is also the question of how important graphics are for a computer game in general and for a real-time strategy title like Age of Empires 4 in particular. As with the assessment of the visuals, this is a very subjective question.

Age of Empires 4 is scheduled for release on 28 October 2021. You can find all the important information about the game such as the biggest innovations, the gameplay, the campaign and the races in our big overview article.

What do you think of the discussions about the graphics of Age of Empires 4? Understandable, inappropriate or something in between? And how important are graphics to you in a game like AoE 4 in general? Feel free to let us know in the comments!
