Almost unnoticed, Intel has added four new graphics card variants to the Mesa driver. New IDs point to the Arc B750 and B770, which are expected to hit the market later this year.
Intel has quietly added four new device IDs for as-yet-unannounced graphics cards to the Mesa driver environment for Linux. So far, so harmless – but the identifiers “0xe220,” “0xe221,” “0xe222,” and ‘0xe223’ all have the prefix “BMG” for Battlemage.
The crux of the matter: Since Intel explicitly labels the previous Arc B570 and B580 with “BMG-G21” and this G21 chip is missing from the new entries, this is seen as a hint that the BMG-G31 is still around.
- BMG-G31 is the presumed chip for the Arc B770, which is likely to be the most powerful Battlemage graphics card.
- An Arc B750, which was previously considered to have been discarded, is also said to be based on the more powerful BMG-G31.
Incidentally, the Mesa driver serves as an important indicator for upcoming hardware releases, as manufacturers typically only provide the necessary software support shortly before market launch – which is another reason why the ID entries are causing a stir.
Two models each for gaming and workstations
The expected new graphics cards are based on the larger BGM-G31 chip, which is said to offer significantly more processing units than the current models.
- The latest leakssuggest that the Arc B770, as the flagship model, could feature up to 32 Xe2 cores, 16 GB of GDDR6 memory, and a 256-bit memory bus. This configuration would enable a memory bandwidth of 608 GB/s.
- Videocardzalso reports that BMG-G31 will be equipped with a PCIe 5.0 interface. Both the Arc B750 and Arc B770 are expected to hit the market in the fourth quarter of 2025.

In addition to the Arc B770 and Arc B750, matching Pro variants for the professional market are expected.
Some of these models are to be equipped with up to 24 GB VRAM in order to remain competitive in the AI and workstation sector. Intel recently announced the Arc Pro B50 and B60 for workstations at Computex 2025, which are also based on the Battlemage architecture.
