The rumors have been confirmed: Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is officially coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam, Battle.net, Microsoft Store) on July 11, 2025! After numerous leaks and speculations, Activision has now announced a completely new version of the skateboarding classic. With new parks, legendary and fresh skaters, a sick soundtrack and cross-play multiplayer, the remake has a lot to offer! But what exactly can you expect? Here are all the details!
Story & Setting: Back on the Board!
Like the original games, there is no classic story, but there is a clear goal: skate, trick, combine moves and crack high scores! All classic levels have been faithfully reconstructed, while brand new parks offer fresh challenges. Skate through old favorites like “Airport” or “Suburbia” – or try out new areas like a decommissioned water park or an urban rooftop landscape. And of course, there are plenty of secrets waiting to be discovered!
Gameplay & Features: More tricks, more style, more multiplayer!
The gameplay remains as fast, fluid and intuitive as ever, but has been enhanced with modern features. In addition to the classic moves, you can expect:
- New tricks for even longer combos!
- Enhanced Create-A-Skater & Create-A-Park mode for ultimate customization.
- Cross-platform multiplayer for up to 8 players – compete against the best in the world!
- An epic soundtrack featuring iconic songs like “Ace of Spades” by Motörhead and brand new tracks that capture modern skate culture.
- Doom Slayer and Revenant from DOOM as playable skaters!
Plus, there are five exclusive skate decks with DOOM-inspired designs that fit perfectly into the over-the-top THPS universe.
Development & expectations: the perfect remake?
The remake is being developed by Iron Galaxy Studios in close collaboration with Tony Hawk and Activision. After the great success of THPS 1 + 2, fan expectations are high – but with its proven mechanics and new features, this could be the best part of the series!
