The first update for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is in the starting blocks and mainly takes care of the game’s biggest bugs. Here is all the information about the release and previous content.

Just a week after release, the first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is ready to go on all platforms. Bioware promises the complete patch notes at a later date, but the developers are already revealing the first three pillars of the update on Twitter. So let’s take a look.

When will the first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard be released?

What’s in the first update to The Veilguard?

Via X (formerly Twitter) Bioware communicates the first improvements of the new update. It literally says:

Hello everyone, The first patch for Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be released on all platforms later this week. This update contains a few bug fixes, minor balance adjustments, and crash fixes. The complete patch notes will be included with the patch itself. Some examples:

  • The patch fixes an issue where adjustments in a scene are not displayed correctly on your Inquisitor.
  • The patch ensures that DLSS no longer appears grayed out on PC when playing with an Nvidia 40 series graphics card. This was the case for some people.
  • The patch fixes a bug that unintentionally reset your companions’ skill points.

So don’t expect any major content additions in the first update – as is usual with patches like this immediately after release, the devs are taking care of the biggest bugs and problems in the first step. If you are plagued by them, with a bit of luck they will soon be a thing of the past. As soon as we have the full patch notes, we will keep you updated.
