Netflix & Mojang Studios announce Minecraft animated series

Exciting news for all Minecraft fans: Netflix and Mojang Studios have announced a new animated series set in the blocky world of Minecraft. This announcement comes just in time for Minecraft’s 15th anniversary, which was recently celebrated with a 15-day celebration.

A Blocktastic Adventure on Netflix

The new series, currently in development by the talented studio WildBrain, promises an original story with new characters. WildBrain is known for its work on successful animated series such as Sonic Prime, Ninjago: Dragons Rising and Carmen Sandiego. This experience will surely help make the Minecraft series another hit on Netflix.

A trailer for the series has also been released to celebrate the announcement. This gives fans a first look at the upcoming adventures and the unique universe they can expect. The series will be exclusive to Netflixmaking it a special treat for subscribers to the streaming platform.

15 years of Minecraft: A reason to celebrate!

The announcement of the new Netflix series coincided with the celebrations for the 15th anniversary of Minecraft To celebrate this milestone, Mojang Studios hosted a 15-day event that began on May 14 and ended on May 29, 2024.
During this time, players received new character designer items every day, representing different years of Minecraft history. In addition, there were various in-game events, discounts and exclusive content for players to enjoy

The anniversary also included a variety of community activities and rewards. Players could participate in Twitch Drops and unlock special in-game items like the 15th Anniversary Cape by watching Minecraft content on Twitch. Each day, new items and surprises were revealed, taking players back into the world of Minecraft and giving them new ways to enjoy the game.

As recent years have shown, series adaptations of well-known video game franchises are in vogue. This is demonstrated by series such asThe Last of Us,FalloutorCastlevania.
