Diablo fans can soon look forward to a new class that combines elemental magic with melee attacks

A breath of fresh air is about to blow through the Diablo universe: Blizzard is expanding its mobile role-playing game Diablo Immortal with the brand new class Tempest This mix of priest and warrior hails from the cold islands of northern Sanctuary and has some cool tricks up its sleeve.

This is what the new Diablo class can do

Fans of the series Avatar – Lord of the Elements will be particularly pleased with the new addition: the Tempest is a kind of wind and waterbender armed with the power of storms. It wields swords and daggers that can move and deform like water

This power of storms also enables him to surf waves on the battlefield, pull his enemies together with whirlpools and then beat them back to hell with a kind of water whip.

A new cinematic trailer, consisting mainly of animated cutscenes, gives a first look at the class and shows a short clip of gameplay at the end, in which you can see some of the new skills in action:

Like the vampiric blood knight the Tempest will come to the game as part of a free update for Diablo Immortal and will be accompanied by its own quest series. Thanks to the class change feature in Diablo Immortal, you can turn one of your existing characters into a Tempest and get started right away.

The new class will be available from May 23, 2024

In case you’re not familiar with the mobile game: There’s also a lot happening in Diablo 4 right now. On May 14, 2024, the “Loot Reborn” update will also be released as part of the start of Season 4.
