Steam bestseller: A role-playing game hopeful casts its shadow ahead

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is already selling like hot cakes on Steam ahead of its release. A curious supermarket simulation also makes it into the top 10

At last, some movement is returning to the Steam bestsellers after only the old top dogs had dominated recently. And yes, by that we also mean Helldivers 2, which has been clinging on to the top spot for weeks

This week, the role-playing game Dragon’s Dogma 2 is skyrocketing in pre-sales. In addition, thousands of players are sitting at the virtual checkout and serving customers in the supermarket simulator.

Role-playing game fans are eagerly awaiting the imminent release of Dragon’s Dogma 2 – and are pulling out their wallets like warriors pull out their short swords. As a result, Capcom’s action role-playing game lands in sixth place in the top-selling Steam games of the previous week.

As anyone who is often out and about on GlobalESportNews knows: The Supermarket Simulator is breaking out of its niche and with its Early Access version is currently putting many a major production in the shade. 10th place in the top-selling Steam games is certainly good news for indie developer Nokta Games.

The premise of Supermarket Simulator is quite simple: You manage your own small store, build the interior, manage the purchasing, stock the shelves, set prices and collect money personally. A dynamic economy also requires your wits to maximize profits and thus grow:
