Ubisoft’s upcoming video game “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” expands the Avatar franchise by James Cameron in an impressive way. The developers at Massive Entertainment have confirmed that the events of thegame are canonically tied into the Na’vi world. This opens up the possibility of future Avatar films referencing elements from “Frontiers of Pandora” or even integrating characters and locations from the game into the film series.

The story of “Frontiers of Pandora” unfolds in the previously unexplored western frontier of the Avatar universe. Here, players will encounter familiar flora and fauna from the films as well as new Na’vi clans with unique rituals and an individual connection to the planet and nature.

The development studio Ubisoft has created its own species, which is part of an official avatar exhibition by Lightstorm Entertainment. Talks are underway about incorporating game elements into future films, and the game could have an impact on upcoming Avatar movies.

The connection between the game and the movie is also confirmed by Joshua Izzo, Vice President of Franchise Development at Lightstorm Entertainment Some elements of “Frontiers of Pandora” are already firmly planned for the third Avatar film in 2025. Attentive players could explore the game again to understand the connections once the movie is released
