The release of Cities: Skylines 2 was accompanied by performance issues on PC resulting in player dissatisfaction. In response Paradox and Colossal Order announced so-called Region Packs containing eight regional building themes. These created modding personalities highly personally. These packs feature over 2500 new assets in the game and cover themes such as Japan, UK, East Coast USA, West Coast USA, China, France, Eastern Europe and Germany.
What makes these Region Packs for Cities: Skylines 2 special is that they are completely free. This means fans of the game will get lots of new content at no additional cost. However, it remains to be seen if these releases can affect the perception of the game in terms of its performance issues.
While this action is of course only a consolation and it would be better if the developers had just finished and optimized the game to market, nice it is of course nonetheless. Maybe it will look better in a few months and Cities: Skylines 2 will be a full-fledged game, which it should have been at launch. Until then, we can at least enjoy the free packs.
