The past few days, countless memes have been circulating about the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1. All of them are true, and not exaggerated, as the game on Nintendo’s console is indeed in incredibly bad shape, as (you can see on X) However, the creator of the series, Ed Boon of (NetherRealmStudios), has promised to remedy the situation. In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, Boon said that fixes for the negatively rated Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 were already in the works The development team is working to fix a “number of concerns and issues” that have arisen since the game’s release.

Boon explained, “It would have been ideal for us to release the version we really wanted.” Nevertheless, he assured that all the identified problems will be fixed. It is worth noting, however, that the developer studio was not directly involved in the implementation of the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 The port was handled by Shiver Entertainment and Saber Interactive. However, Boon emphasized that MK1 will receive the same ongoing support as the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 11.

It is possible that more updates for the Nintendo Switch version will be released in the future to improve graphics, performance and other issues. Whether the developers will be able to meet the expectations of the fans remains to be seen. Fun to watch (probably rather depressing for Switch owners), though, are the stills of this incredible and embarrassing port.
