Even though The Last Faith isn’t due out for a few months, you already have the chance to try it out for free.

A lot of new game trailers were released at the Future Games Show as part of gamescom 2023. One of them showed the upcoming Metroidvania The Last Faith, which has a strong Castlevania and Blasphemous vibe. Whether the game can also score points with its gameplay, you can now try out for yourself.

Try The Last Faith for free

It is not yet known when exactly The Last Faith will be released. Only November 2023 is given as the time frame But that’s not so bad, because from now on you can play the beta and it’s completely free The Last Faith is scheduled for release on PC, Playstation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X/S as well as Nintendo Switch

The new trailer not only revealed the beta launch, of course, but also showed off new, action-packed gameplay of the pixelated vampire adventure. But why don’t you just watch the video for yourselves:

The Last Faith is obviously heavily inspired by Castlevania. Moreover, Blasphemous can be recognised in the dark game, even if it is brutal, but not as brutal as the new Soulslike. A special feature is the implementation of firearms, which distinguishes it from the aforementioned titles beyond the story.

What do you think of the dark Metroidvania The Last Faith? Do you think it can keep up with genre rivals like Castlevania and Blasphemous? Will you try out the free beta? What do you want from the upcoming game and what fears might you have? What is your favourite Metroidvania? Which was your highlight from the Future Games Show and which from Opening Night Live? We’re very interested in your opinions, so feel free to post them in the comments!
