You can play the community adventure Epix again in 2023. You can even win numerous prizes such as Gamescom tickets

The E3 was cancelled this year, but the gamescom will take place in Cologne at the end of August. And before it starts in a few weeks, you can already play the first chapters of the free community adventure Epix, and even win various prizes. Find out everything you need to know about Epix here.

What is Epix anyway?

Epix is a free, text-based adventure game in which you guide the robot EPI through the gamescomVerse. You solve numerous quests to help a young AI, feed it data, and protect it from an evil force.

In total, Epix is composed of eight chapters in different worlds, which are unlocked bit by bit. In addition to a mushroom forest, you’ll also be transported to a futuristic cyberpunk city, a fantasy world and a pirate island.

So far only chapter one is available, which you can play (on the official gamescom website) . Two more chapters will be unlocked before gamescom, and the final five will appear during the show.

To complete quests, you’ll need to solve puzzles, answer questions, visit specific locations (digitally or on the fairgrounds), or interact with the community. Rewards include experience points, profile icons, backgrounds, and more.

But you can also grab more tangible treasures, such as discount codes, add-on content for popular games, merchandise, and very limited collectibles If you buy the Epix Loot Detector, you even have the chance to win a free Gamescom ticket every day and unlock exclusive quests and avatars.

Will you be going to Gamescom this year, and will you be visiting us at the exhibition grounds? Or would you rather stay at home this time? Do you want to try out Epix, or have you already played through Chapter One? Would you spontaneously go to Cologne if you won a free ticket? Feel free to write us in the comments!
