The FIFA successor EA SPORTS FC will still have a career mode. However, Electronic Arts has changed a few things in this mode. An overview of the new features.
Even before the actual release on 29 September, the football world is looking forward to EA’s FIFA successor EA SPORTS FC. Numerous innovations have already been announced for this game, including the integration of female players in the Ultimate Team mode. But the players can also look forward to some innovations in the Manager Mode.
- Tactical settings (Tactival Vision) – For EA SPORTS FC several game philosophies have been taken up and integrated. Players should be able to choose from one of seven basic settings: Standard, Wing Play, Tiki-Taka, Counter, Counterpressing, Kick & Rush and “Park The Bus”.
- Coaching Staff: In addition to their actual job as coaches, players are also allowed to work on the details and fine-tuning of fitness and tactical know-how. To match this, they choose from different staff members who are responsible for different areas. These include attack, midfield, defence and goalkeeper. Each of these area coaches ensures that the various weak points of the individual players are worked on individually. The level and strength of the additional coaches depends on the strength of your club.
- Match Day Preparation: Before every match, the first thing on the schedule is training and proper preparation. This function already exists in FIFA 23, but has now been revised for EA SPORTS FC 24. An individual training plan can now be created for each player. However, you should pay attention to the balance between the development of an athlete and his energy level. A total of five different training options are available. Attention is now also paid to whether, for example, a player is being reintegrated into the game after a long injury break. As in reality, this player cannot simply and easily play from 0 to 100, instead he must be brought up to the prevailing performance level.

- Matchreport: Even before the actual match, the players will receive the key facts about the upcoming duel in a prepared graphic. Among other things, the most important players and the tactical approach of the team are listed here.
- Final training: In the final training session before a match, special training units can be completed that are particularly geared to the opponent’s performance or players.
- Tactical perspective: Once the whistle has blown for a match, the action on the pitch can be followed from different and new perspectives. Among other things, the camera can rest exclusively on one player or you can follow the action from the sidelines and from the coach’s perspective.
EA SPORTS FC 24 is expected to be available in stores from 29 September 2023 for all major platforms.
