The eagerly awaited fighting game from Riot Games “Project L” is to be playable for the first time at EVO 2023. The event will take place in a few days from 04 to 06 August in the USA.

With “Project L” the next big Riot Games game is already in the starting blocks. With Valorant, the last in-house game was released, which enjoyed great popularity worldwide. The US-based company is now hoping to gain a foothold in another genre with “Project L”.

The game, of which no clues to the name have been leaked yet, is a classic fighting game that will strike in the same notch as Street Fighter, Tekken and similar games. In the past months, some gameplay scenes have already been presented, but Riot is still keeping a low profile in terms of scope and general content. This could now change with the upcoming EVO edition.

Proejct L coming to EVO 2023

The EVO, short for EvolutionChampionship Series, is one of the most important fighting games tournaments of the year. The best players of the most diverse titles meet here and fight for fame, honour and, of course, a lot of prize money. “Project L” has not yet been announced as a tournament title, but instead visitors will have the opportunity to experience a playable version for themselves for the first time between 4 and 6 August in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Project L”, like League of Legends, Legends of Runeterra and Valorant, is to be released as a free-to-play title for PC and console. So far, however, it is not known when exactly the game will be released. Experts, however, assume a release this year or next year at the latest.
