Fans of the Warzone 2 map Vondel are celebrating while others are throwing their hands up in horror. A new feature has almost been removed again

After years, the community could finally look forward to dynamic weather on a Warzone 2 map with Season 4. After only a few weeks, the new feature on Vondel is already being changed again by the developers and is causing an uproar within the community.

The fog is lifting

It’s not every day that the developers decide to integrate new game mechanics into Warzone 2’s Battle Royale. So it was all the more surprising that they unveiled the Fog feature on the new Map Vondel at the start of Season 4.

Just a few weeks after its launch, a near-submerged update from 26 June is now causing uproar. On Twitter, Raven Software has stated that the probability of the fog being triggered on Vondel has been lowered.

It is not the first time that the developers have cut a new feature shortly after its release. For example, the division of the zone into three separate circles caused divided opinions shortly after its release and forced those responsible to take action.

Then, as now, the developers unceremoniously made sure that the new feature appeared much less frequently and thus had less influence on the gameplay.

Raven Software did not comment on how high the likelihood of the fog moving over Vondel actually is after the update.

Unpopular Feature

It is well known that much of the CoD community is not one to welcome change with open arms. It is therefore hardly surprising that the new fog feature was received rather badly than well and its new restriction is seen by many as a step in the right direction.

If it were up to some players who vent in the comments, the developers should have even gone one step further and removed the fog from the game altogether.

For many players, the new fog feature has been one of the few criticisms of the extremely popular map Vondel so far. The new map was received extremely positively by the community and is already much more popular than Ashika Island shortly after its release.
