The ambitious mod will be released later so that it won’t be overshadowed by Bethesda’s sci-fi colossus. But that has advantages for both sides.

There are few more ambitious and fan-popular mods for Fallout 4 than the one that has been in the making for many years Fallout: London. And it could have been so beautiful: The mod should have been released shortly and friends of the nuclear post-apocalypse could finally shine again – with joy, of course.

Now we have to wait again. Because the team behind Fallout: London has decided to push back the release once again. The reason: of all things, the new Bethesda game Starfield!

A win-win situation?

Project manager Dean Carter makes no secret of the reason for the postponement. In a new developer video, which you can find below, he announces the new postponement and explains:

We don’t give a specific date, but I can openly say that it [the release] will be in the fourth quarter of the year. You may be wondering: Why so late? Well, initially we had hoped it would be in the third quarter. However, a certain space game was delayed and is now scheduled to be released around the same time as we had planned. For this reason, we are announcing our release for the final quarter.

Not only does this give you all more time to play Starfield, but it also gives us more time for playtesting and bug fixing, so it’s a win-win situation, right? Thank you for your patience.

What’s Fallout: London about?

As mentioned before, the mod is so huge that we can confidently call this a completely new Fallout game.

Our reading tips are the ideal way to pass the time until the release of Fallout: London or Starfield. Are you already really keen on a new Fallout adventure or does the postponement suit you just fine because you’re drawn to the vastness of space first anyway?
