With Sonic Superstars, SEGA has announced new gameplay action in the familiar design. Now they introduce a new feature of the 2D platformer: the LEGO Sonic.
Big retro fun was announced by SEGA at the beginning of June. Sonic Superstars provides us with 90s platforming fun and sprinkles it with modern gameplay features and chic graphics.
The familiar designs of Sonic and his friends Tails, Knuckles and Amy are also unpacked again in this title. This presents another feature of the game. You can start your adventure alone or in a 4-player co-op.
Those who combine retro charm with rough edges will certainly look forward to the latest announcement of Sonic Superstars. In a trailer, SEGA has confirmed the appearance of LEGO Sonic, who we already got to meet a while ago in the corresponding brick set.
The LEGO version of Doctor Eggman is also part of the platformer fun. To see him in action, though, you’ll need to pre-order Sonic Superstars.
Sonic Superstars is set to release this autumn for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. If the leak from Gamestop or Target is to be believed, the game should be released on 17 October The official confirmation from SEGA is still pending, however.
