God of War Ragnarok is one of the most popular games of the past year. This is also confirmed by the BAFTA Game Awards, where the adventure game won the title Game Of The Year in various categories. Last night, Santa Monica released an update for the acclaimed title.

Those who have already finished God of War Ragnarok might want to dig out the game again. Because developer Santa Monica Studio and publisher PlayStation have added a few more features to the action adventure.
In addition to the New Game+ mode, various items of equipment are also included. At the beginning of a new game, Kratos is equipped with the armour of the black bear, which you should already know from the opening sequence of the game. In addition, there are further armours, the Spartan Aspis and a new shield.

New customisation and gameplay features

The Transmog feature freshly introduced with God of War Ragnarok will also receive an upgrade in the form of new colour combinations and styles for the 13 existing armours. In addition, all equipment at level 9 can now be upgraded again through a new level cap  This also includes equipping new spells including negative bonuses, which are more of a burden than a help in some challenges.

The gameplay also gets an upgrade with new skill development paths and an expansion of the training arena in Niflheim. To keep it challenging, the boss fights have been adjusted and the enemies improved.

Although God of War Ragnarok was already a great cinematic experience for many, the developer and publisher add another cinematic twist with the black and white rendering mode.
