The end of Chapter 3 in Fortnite is already around the corner. With the event “Fractured” the new chapter in the Battle Royale begins.

The final event for Chapter 3 is set. On 3 December at 10pm, “Shattered” heralds the beginning of the end in Fortnite. Together in a team or alone, the players can fight for the fate of the island.

Chapter 3 in Fortnite will come to an end at the beginning of December with the mega-event “Shattered”. In Battle Royale, there will be a special game mode for this, which will also be called “Shattered”. Players can take part in the mode in a group of four or form a team with other Fortnite fans during the event.

The game mode will be accessible 30 minutes before the actual start on 3 December at 10 pm. However, players can still join the game up to 40 minutes after the actual start of the event. Those who do not have a suitable device available at this time can also participate in the event in Fortnite via Xbox Cloud Gaming or NVIDIA GeForce NOW.

What to expect at the event

The event not only heralds the end of Chapter 3, but is also the beginning of Chapter 4. Currently, the Fortnite map is covered in chrome and with “Shattered” there could be an end to “The Herald” and their machinations. Epic Games describes “Shattered” as “an unexpected event that is out of this world.” Likewise, the future of the island is in the hands of the players:inside.

The mega-event could once again make massive changes to the map and, as the name of the game mode implies, cause the map to shatter into countless pieces. What exactly players can expect at the event in December, however, is not yet known from the official side.

Nevertheless, Fortnite fans can already dust off a special emote in advance, which will be implemented in the game to celebrate the event. The “Marsh Meal” emote is only available between 2 and 4 December. For this, players must log into Fortnite within the time frame and the emote will land in their inventory.
