20 weapons in an action-packed mode with lots of explosions: The Rambo’s Gun Game playlist launches Thursday in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Be like action hero John Rambo for once: Publisher Activision and developer Treyarch explained the new Rambo’s Gun Game mode via Weekly Briefing on Monday. In the mode, players get a “huge firepower boost” with a variation of 20 weapons. These include the new Battle Bow, Death Machine, RPG-7 rocket launcher and War Machine.

The higher your level in the mode, the better weapons you get. The spice, however, comes with the rewards and the punishments. If you die from a melee weapon, your level will be reset by one. So if you want better weapons, you should definitely not be tricked.

The big turning point, however, comes with a possible instant win. Because the first player who manages a final weapon kill with the Ballistic Knife wins the match. All players are equipped with a Stimshot each to stay able to fight longer.

Activision also promises plenty of explosions and dramatic events. The action begins on 27 May. The 80’s Action Heroes event will run until 19 June.

In the meantime, the Snipers Only Moshpit returns. Map Standoff 24/7 continues for a second week and Prop Hunt now takes centre stage in the playlists, while Gun Game and Sticks and Stones continue in Quick Play.
