It’s a week of revelations. The upcoming CoD Next event reveals the future of Call of Duty.

For the Call of Duty community, this week is anything but ordinary. After a long wait, not only will the beta phase of Modern Warfare II start on 16 September, but the day before we will learn what the future of the popular franchise will look like during the CoD Next event.

The future of Call of Duty

While the community eagerly awaits the launch of the Modern Warfare II beta on 16 September, Activision is already revealing a day before what we can look forward to in the near future. Besides the reveal of the Modern Warfare II multiplayer and first pictures of Warzone Mobile, we can also look forward to the unveiling of Warzone 2.

So far, however, it is still unclear how much and which content we will get to see. Many are also already hoping to see gameplay scenes from the new Warzone sequel. On 8 September, leaker Metaphor had already published various details about Warzone 2 via Twitter, but the community is still waiting in vain for visuals.

Be there live

If you want to be at the event live, don’t miss out on anything on 15 September at 6:30pm. The event will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch:

Whether the Call of Duty developers’ motto “The next generation of CoD is here” will continue with additional reveals remains to be seen. Only recently, however, rumours made the rounds about the Call of Duty planned for 2024, in which it was said that the campaign will be linked to real events surrounding the war in Afghanistan and Iraq. It is doubtful, however, that those responsible at Activision are already commenting on CoD 2024 at such an early stage of development.
