The Flare Gun in Fortnite becomes a festive projectile. Plus, the fireworks have a valuable tactical use. Nor is this special flare gun locked in Battle Royale.

Fortnite received update 21.10 in Chapter 3 Season 3 on Tuesday. A new weapon was brought into the game: the Firework Flare Gun. This not only does what it promises, but can also reveal enemies.

New Year’s Eve is still a little way off, but the Firework Flare Gun is making a big splash in Fortnite. Since the latest update, it has been integrated into the game, but can initially only be used in creative mode. Back on Tuesday morning, well-known Fortnite leaker “HYPEX” explained that this new weapon “fires a shot projectile that creates fireworks in the air and reveals enemies.”

This statement is confirmed in a Youtube video by “LemonMeerkat230”. Here you can see that the firework flare gun has a total of six shots of ammunition. After each shot, it has to be reloaded. It actually becomes clear that nearby enemies are made visible with a red mark at the time of the firework effect.

Thus this weapon is useful in different ways. For example, it can reveal a lot of entrenched enemies in a tightly built-up area like the Tilted Towers. It can also be used as an assault weapon to set buildings on fire if they are hit.

The fireworks flare gun is still exclusive to Creative Mode and cannot be used in Battle Royale. However, leakers speculate that the weapon will also be available in competitive modes in July. Independence Day in the USA, coming up on 4 July, could be a possible occasion.
