With the latest update 1.8.1, Hunt: Showdown developer Crytek has introduced a new quest system for the dark fantasy multiplayer shooter. This allows you to summon special encounters and tasks in the bayou and earn additional rewards.

This is what Hunt: Showdown’s new quest system offers

The available quests are divided into five categories, “easy” to “legendary”, and thus determine the level of difficulty, but also the quality of the reward. The more difficult a challenge you complete, the more stars you will receive. This commendation badge, limited to 30 per week, can earn you up to 25 Blood Bons. Additional and instant rewards await diligent hunters in the form of items and weapons for explosives, revolvers and more. As is often the case with daily quests in Life Service multiplayer games, tasks and rewards rotate regularly to ensure that you don’t get bored. This means that there are now even more challenges in the action-packed multiplayer shooter and players who are more into solo content are also catered for.

The developers also want active feedback from the Hunt: Showdown community on this feature. Players can leave their opinions on the social media channels and help make the new Hunt: Showdown quest system even better. You can even make your own suggestions for quests under the hashtag SuggestAQuest. The previous ones are still classic MMORPG and loot shooter fare with “Kill a fixed number of enemies” and “Track down a boss hideout”. The winning idea will then be patched into the game at a later date.
