It’s hard to believe, but the long wait is almost over! Tomorrow Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong will be released. Before it starts though, Big Bad Wolf presents some final impressions of the RPG in the latest Developer Diary.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong you slip into the role of the three vampires Galeb, Emem and Leysha. Using their individual abilities, the three must solve a heinous crime that has befallen the Boston Camarilla. While Galeb acts in particularly dicey situations among humans, Leysha uses her emotional abilities and acts more subtly. In contrast, Emem is a kind of ambassador who can act in different social circles.
In the latest (and final) Developer Diary, the developers talk about the setting, the pen and paper system World of Darkness.

The developers of Big Bad Wolf are not only passionate about their profession. Many of them enjoy playing pen and paper, which makes them very familiar with the World of Darkness. In order to draw a realistic picture of the world, a lot of research was necessary. After all, the story of Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong takes place within our world, which is why realism is especially important.
In order to do justice to the pen and paper feeling, the game is primarily designed for social interaction and interaction with the environment. This can also be seen in the playable characters. All three already have a rich background history and are well-known members of the Camarilla. This status opens many doors for them and lets them talk informally with senior members of the grouping.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong is coming to PC, PlayStation and Xbox today, May 19.
