The latest part of the Soul Hackers 2 video series is about the factions and demons. We learn more about the setting and how to hold our own in battle.

In Soul Hackers 2, the Devil Summoners play a big role. As we have already explained, they use the power of powerful demons. However, the Devil Summoners are not a large, sworn community. Instead, they live in different factions, such as the Yatagarasu and the Phantom Society. The two opposing groups are constantly at war with each other. Only in the Realms, hidden cities within this community, are they committed to peace.

The trailer also gets around to Soul Hackers 2’s demon fusion. In places like the Cirque du Goumaden you can create a new demon out of two. There are two types of fusion. With the normal fusion, you can combine two ordinary demons with each other, while for the special fusion you need two special specimens. In the course of the game, the demons can be levelled up, whereby they learn new abilities. When they reach their maximum, you receive useful buffs that provide additional support in battle.

Soul Hackers 2 will be released on 26 August for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. More information can be found on the (official website).
