One month before release, there is gameplay material to marvel at for Evil Dead: The Game. Game Informer presents two videos of the horror multiplayer; one from the survivor’s point of view and one from the demon’s point of view.

On 13 May, Evil Dead: The Game will be released for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and consoles. So that those interested can get a better feel for the bloody goings-on, there are now two new gameplay videos to marvel at.

The first shows the asynchronous horror game from the survivors’ point of view. The mission of these four heroes is to find the Necronomicon and the Dagger of Kandarian in order to use them against the demon. If they succeed, they win the game. To achieve this goal, they have to fight various enemies with different weapons and equipment. Smaller, easy-to-defeat enemies as well as big bosses are already looking forward to making the mission really difficult for the survivors.

The Demon of Evil Dead: The Game

The second gameplay video of Evil Dead: The Game revolves around the role of the demon. The game’s antagonist can lay various traps and summon enemies to harass the survivors. He can also take possession of various objects such as trees and cars. Even players are not safe from the demon’s sinister clutches. What is particularly exciting about this role is the camera angle, which fans of the film series will recognise. At the same time, the role of the demon is a lot more demanding than that of a survivor. For the demon has to be both tactically astute about his own actions, but also manage the whole terrain and use it to his advantage.

In summary, all that remains to be said is that Evil Dead: The Game is a great homage to the now 40-year-old franchise. While veteran fans will discover the many Easter Eggs, newcomers can get to grips with a piece of pop history.
