Metroid Dread has been available for the Nintendo Switch since October last year. Now Nintendo presents the new update Boss Rush, which brings fans some new game modes.

You haven’t played the shooter Metroid Dread for a while? Then you should give it another chance. Nintendo released the Boss Rush update at the weekend, which adds two new difficulty levels and two new game modes. Those who want to explore the planet ZDR in a relaxed way will get their money’s worth with the beginner mode. The enemies not only inflict less damage on you, you also receive more energy and missles. If you’re looking for the full challenge instead, then Dread mode is just right for you. Here, just one hit from an enemy is enough to send you straight into Game Over.

Are you only after Samus’ challenging fights? Then Boss Rush mode is your mode. By playing through all Metroid Dread difficulty levels, you can unlock the mode. If you only play through Dread mode, the ultimate challenge awaits you in Dread Rush.

This free update was announced during the recent Nintendo Direct. The free demo is still available in the (Nintendo eShop). If you like the game, you can buy Metroid Dread for just under €60.
