Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software have confirmed what many Warzone fans have suspected for months: There are problems with the Aim Assist. These are now to be fixed.

For quite some time, there have been suspicions in the Warzone community about a problem with the Aim Assist. Now the developers have spoken out.

As developer Raven Software announced on 22 March via Twitter, there is currently a bug with the Aim Assist in Warzone. The bug causes the Aim Assist to be briefly disabled during a firefight. The bug is triggered by a faulty “player visibility check”. The system does not recognise an enemy player in the player’s field of view and therefore does not activate the Aim Assist.

According to Sledgehammer Games, the bug first appeared after the release of Vanguard Season 1. Why the bug analysis took so long and why Raven Software needed the help of Sledgehammer Games for the discovery was not disclosed. It is also unknown whether Xbox and PlayStation players are equally affected.

According to the developers, a patch will be applied in the next few weeks that will finally fix the problem. An exact date for the patch will be announced in the next few days.
