A translation error is currently causing confusion in Forza Horizon 5. We explain to you what the gravel track races are all about.

If you’re working on completing the current The Cossie challenge in Forza Horizon 5, you’re probably currently encountering an annoying problem. This is because in the Festival menu, the current challenge section, Chapter 2 RS stands for Rallying, tells you that you need to win a total of three gravel track events with the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth.

This target condition causes resignation among many racers, as this type of race cannot be found anywhere in the large game world of Mexico – or can it? Because behind the gravel track events is an old acquaintance that has simply become the victim of poor translation.

A look at the current Challenge target leaves many perplexed.

How to master the gravel track races the fastest

To be more precise, two valuable pieces of information were lost during localisation. To clear up the big mystery right away: Gravel track events actually mean dirt races. And as I said, that’s not all, because in the original English version it also says trail – which means that it must also be a dirt stage race.

And what is the fastest way to master the task? We won’t leave you out in the cold on this question either, but will help you. The Baja California path, which you will find in the west of the map near the Baja outpost, can be completed relatively quickly. This should get you through three races in no time and you can move on to the next stage of the challenge.

How to solve the rest of The Cossie

Finally, here are a few tips on the remaining stages of the current challenge, The Cossie:

  • Chapter 3 – Race again: You have to earn a total of 100,000 skill points with the Ford Escort RS. Some of the perks in the car mastery will help you here. If you’re already in the area around the Baja outpost, you can also continue on the spot. There you will find all kinds of possibilities for drifting, jumping and destroying – all of which can be combined to create a great and therefore point-earning combo.
  • Chapter 4 – Wing Commander: Finally, you have to collect a total of nine stars from danger signs. You may already have your own favourites here, but we recommend the two signs La Cruz (north of the city of Guanajuato) and Cannonball (west of Guanajuato), among others.
