A father shares a touching story on Reddit about how he can finally play together with his daughter again thanks to an accessibility feature in Forza Horizon 5.

Forza Horizon 5 offers a whole range of useful accessibility options and settings. An aspect that we already praised in our test of the racing game.

The importance of such accessibility features can now also be seen in the story of a family father. In it, he describes how he can finally play together with his daughter again thanks to a simple option.

How a family benefits from Forza’s accessibility

This is what the family man reports:On Reddit, a post on the Forza Horizon-(Forum) caused a stir just a few days ago. In it, the user Outrageous-Nature-95 shares his story and that of his now ten-year-old daughter Sophie.

At the age of seven, Sophie was the victim of a car accident, from which she suffered severe injuries that she still suffers from today. Before that, (Outrageous-Nature-95) spent numerous game nights together, playing games on Xbox consoles.

After the accident, Sophie’s father tried to keep up the tradition of playing games together, but his daughter could only watch: Due to her injuries, Sophie was no longer able to operate a regular controller.

However, Outrageous-Nature-95 now reports having stumbled upon an important feature of Forza Horizon 5 by chance: the automatic steering. This setting actually does exactly what it promises. One’s own car follows certain routes or roads while the player himself controls the speed.

For Outrageous-Nature-95, this little feature has a huge significance for more accessibility: Sophie can now play by herself again, taking control of the gas and brake and letting the game guide her to the finish line.

For both of them, according to Outrageous-Mature-95, the opportunity to play together again finally represents a ray of hope after many difficult years. With his Reddit post, the father is now trying to thank the developers of Forza Horizon 5 for this option, which means the world to him and Sophie.
