A few weeks ago Dota 2 announced the world championship juice including spectators. But now the situation seems to have changed.

The Corona pandemic continues to make life difficult for esports. Originally, The International 10, one of the biggest esports tournaments ever, was finally supposed to take place again this year in Bucharest with spectators on site. Some tickets have also already been sold, but now the organiser has had to cancel the live audience.

Tickets will be refunded

It seems that the situation in Romania has deteriorated to such an extent that the safety of spectators:inside and players can no longer be guaranteed. Valve assures to refund all tickets in full. On their websitethey state that while they would have loved to welcome the fans live, everyone’s health comes first.

Many of the fans are now disappointed. Some users write on Twitter that they have already travelled to Bucharest or they can no longer cancel their flight and hotel room. Some are now recommending that they spend a simple holiday in Romania, but this will probably not be able to console every fan. Nevertheless, you can of course still watch the event online.
