June 2 is the release date of Riot Games’ Valorant. Already in the first week there will be an event with 200.000 Dollar prize pool.

The closed beta of Riot Games’ FPS game has been finished since 28 May 2020, so all eyes are focused on the release date, 2 June 2020.

Now the publisher has already announced the first big event.

To celebrate the launch of the full version, Riot Games will host a worldwide tournament already on the first weekend. Each region will have its own FIRST Valorant Champion. A prize pool of $200,000 is also tempting.

A twitch-block post will be linked, referring to “content creators from North America, Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Korea and Japan”. Twitch also announces that Twitch Rivals, as a partner of Riot Games, will run the tournament on the first weekend.

That’s when the first big teams will be on the alert.

On March 10th T1 pledged ex-CS:GO star Braxton “Brax” Pierce, who would probably be too eager to get into the race with the tweet from T1.
