Blizzard could try again according to current leaks and seems to be giving Warcraft 2 a makeover this time.

Especially since Blizzard has been doing its best to ignore this unsuccessful remake as much as possible, and often the whole series as well. At least that’s what we thought! But now it seems that the studio is trying its hand at another remake.
According to some pretty clear leaks, we can expect to announce Warcraft 2 Remastered soon The second part of the series is also considered a masterpiece of real-time strategy and will fittingly celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2025.
Are the leaks trustworthy?
Officially, a remaster of Wacraft 2 is still not, after all, we are talking here about an unintentional leak. However, that is not the case either. Someone once said
leak. The leak comes from the website Blizztrack and thus indirectly from Blizzard itself.
Blizztrack tracks all game updates that are installed via Battle.net and seems to have fished out an update here on November 6 that goes by the telling title Warcraft 2: Remastered Internal Alpha So this specifically names a test phase for a new edition of Warcraft 2.

These are quite clear indications that a remaster of the strategy game is on the way. And the timing also seems to support this conclusion. As mentioned, Warcraft 2 celebrates its 30th anniversary in December 2025, and its predecessor and thus the Warcraft universe itself will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in just a few days on November 15.

Mixed reactions
