The first-person shooter Valorant is starting the new year with good news for the German-speaking region. Riot Games announces that there will be two new leagues in the DACH region starting in 2022. One will be aimed at the pros, while the other will be available to every level.

Those who want to start the next year with an extra big challenge should take a look at the shooter Valorant. This is because two new leagues will be available with the start of next year. For the amateurs, the Valorant Regional Circuit (VRC) Project V has been set up. This community and amateur league is available to all players from Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein and Switzerland. By participating in the events and community happenings, they can collect points with their teams. Those who work their way up the three major splits and take part in the Project V finals can secure a place in the Valorant Regional League (VLC).

The Valorant Pros in the VRL

With the VRL, various VALORANT leagues are created which allow participation in EMEA competitions. One of these is the VRL DACH: Evolution. The eight best teams of the respective DACH region can participate in this league. The VRL DACH: Evolution is divided into two splits, at the end of which there is a play-off phase. Whoever makes it here qualifies for the VCT. Whoever wins the VRL DACH: Evolution in the middle of the year will represent their region at the VRL EMEA PLAYOFFS. The VALORANT Regional League will start on 24 January 2022 with an Openqualifier format that will last until 30 January. A maximum of 128 teams can participate during this period.

With the new league system, Riot Games wants to raise the competitive level within the German-speaking Valorant area. In addition, this change is intended to be enjoyed by the entire community and not just to give professional players new opportunities for advancement. You can see more details about the running of the leagues on the (official website).
