The Uniliga season is over in (almost) all titles. But who could secure the university championship title?
In almost all titles there is a new university champion. Only in Rocket League was Berlin Phoenix able to secure the fourth title in a row. The team around pro players “Tigreee” and “Gnagflow06” thus set a new university league record in RL!
New University Champions
In Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Bielefeld eSports e.V. was able to take back the title after one season! This is the third time that the team around Sprout player “jansen” has won the title. TudTud from Darmstadt made it to the podium for the fifth time, but the big coup is still missing.
The most exciting final was played by the University of the Armed Forces Munich and ALWT Academics in Rainbow Six: Siege. On three maps it went into overtime each time.
where the Uni Bundeswehr finally prevailed. They won the second Rainbow Six Season and their first university title.
There were surprises in Overwatch. After Munich eSports had won the title four seasons in a row, they were kicked out in the semi-finals by HTW eSports Berlin. The Berliners continued their success and won their first title in Overwatch.
League of Legends Final
The League of Legends final will take place live at Saturn Xperion in Cologne on 04 September. For the sixth time in a row, the Bremen brothers are in the final – but so far, success has eluded them. The eternal runners-up will meet their strongest opponent: KIT SC White. Five times in a row the two teams have faced each other in the final – five times in a row the Karlsruhe team won.
The reigning university champions are the Hanover Hounds, who were defeated by KIT SC White in the semi-finals. Who will be the new university champion?
