Online retailer Best Buy accidentally announced in promotional emails that pre-orders will start very soon, and an insider knows more details.

The wait forGTA 6is becoming increasingly unbearable for many fans. The latest trailer is now over a year old, and other new information has been scarce. So a leak regarding the upcoming pre-order launch comes at just the right time.

The US electronics retailer Best Buy recently announced this via email, and it will likely start sooner than you might think.

GTA 6: Pre-orders Start as Early as May

Several content creators who have a partnership with Best Buy are reporting online about announcement emails they received from the retailer. This includes YouTuber FrogboyX1Gaming:

According to this, a pre-order campaign for GTA 6 is set to take place from May 18 to 21.& nbsp;During this period, Best Buy affiliates would receive a share of the sales. However, pre-orders would most likely still be possible until the release date.

Since, as described above, several people received such an email and were able to verify the sender, this leak is considered quite credible. Of course, it could still be a communication error. It often happens that retailers use placeholders for dates that ultimately turn out to be incorrect.

There has been no official confirmation from Best Buy or even Rockstar.

However, the date would fit Take-Two’s strategy. On May 21, the next earnings callof the parent company. It will present quarterly figures for Q4 as well as the 2026 fiscal year. The kickoff for the final phase of GTA 6 would fit right in here. Alongside the pre-order launch, therelease of the third trailer could also be on the horizon.

Editions and Early Access?

But the rumors don’t stop there. DetectiveSeeds, an insider who has been reporting on the likely upcomingpre-order launch even before the Best Buy leak, now claims to have further details.

I was told the price for GTA 6, the bundles, and various pre-order options for the game by the same person who also told me the pre-order launch dates. That was correct, as highlighted by my leaked DMs, which prove that I had the info more than a week ago.

I’ve decided not to publish the pricing information, as I was advised that this could impact the market. But I can say that there will besix ways to pre-order the game.

Three digital/physical options, with the usual tiers, and then one that’s rarer with some extras. Two that come bundled with consoles (Pro and Standard), including a digital code for download. I was told that the bundles themselves will not include a physical copy.

In the comments, the leaker confirms that the third trailer for GTA 6 will be released when pre-orders begin. Additionally, he appears to have information regarding the price. Froma reply it appears that thisis expected to cost between $60 and $80

Another user asks whether buyers of certain editions will get early access to the game. DetectiveSeeds replies: “I was told that there will be an early access phase for some retail versions.”

However, this likely refers to “Advanced Access” rather than “Early Access” in the traditional sense. This would allow buyers of certain editions to start playing a few days before the actual release.

However, the leaker is not considered the most credible source, as he has cited AI chatbots as evidence in the past.In the case of GTA 6, however, his informant appears to be from within the game’s development circle.

Still, treat this information with a healthy dose of skepticism. Rockstar’s open-world game is one of the most anticipated titles of recent years, which has the rumor mill churning. None of the details mentioned have been officially confirmed. If you’re thirsty for solid information, check out the box above.
