Great events cast their shadows ahead. Rockstar officially confirms a new part of Grand Theft Auto for the first time.
Many players have been waiting for this: For the first time, developer Rockstar stated that the active development of GTA 6 is underway. This now also officially confirms that the popular series will be continued, albeit after a relatively long break.
GTA Online will also continue. The multiplayer offshoot will get some new features in the course of the NextGen upgrade for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. Which ones? Find out here:

Announcement almost as a footnote
Rockstar casually let the gangster cat out of the bag at the end of a long (blogpost). Literally, it said:
Given the unprecedented longevity of GTA 5, we know that many of you have been asking us for a new installment in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we tackle, our goal is always to go well beyond what we’ve delivered so far – and we’re pleased to confirm that active development for the next instalment in the Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to revealing more as soon as we’re ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.
