In recent years, Ubisoft has come under increasing pressure from disappointing game releases. Titles like could not meet the high expectations, which not only weakened the sales figures but also weighed on the company’s share price. In particular, the postponement of the long-awaited Assassin’s Creed Shadows until 2025 caused additional frustration among fans and investors. Amidst this turmoil, however, Ubisoft seems to have found a clear direction by focusing more on its best-known brand: Assassin’s Creed

The iconic stealth series, which has shaped the face of the company since its launch in 2007, is now the focus of Ubisoft’s new corporate strategy. Over the next five years, the studio plans to launch at least ten new Assassin’s Creed titles , covering different game types and lengths. A highlight for many fans could be the rumor of a remake of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag, which is scheduled to be released as early as the end of next year. Ubisoft is doing everything it can to find a way out of the crisis with this proven brand.

New dimensions for the Assassin’s Creed universe

In addition to the multitude of new games, Ubisoft is planning an even more comprehensive expansion of the Assassin’s Creed universe According to insiders, the company is developing a central gaming hub that will combine all previous and future Assassin’s Creed games. This step could make it easier for fans to immerse themselves in the worlds of the various titles and experience all the games in one convenient place. At the same time, additional projects such as a Netflix series are intended to anchor the franchise more firmly outside the gaming world as well, thereby further increasing its popularity.

In addition, Ubisoft is not only focusing on console titles, but also on the mobile gaming market With Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade, which is scheduled for release in 2025, the company is also trying to gain a foothold on mobile devices. Despite the ambitious plans, however, it remains to be seen whether the postponement of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will affect the schedule for further releases. One thing is certain, however: the next five years will be crucial to whether Ubisoft can restore its former glory with this strategy.
