YouTuber Blurbs has modded the Bethesda boss into the game and is staging the slowest chase ever with him.

YouTuber Blurbs is known for letting his community torment him with absurd mod ideas. His latest ordeal involves Fallout 4, a snail, and a cardboard cutout of Bethesda boss Todd Howard. Sounds absurd? It is, but it’s also hilarious.

YouTuber turns Todd Howard into a snail

Literally. The content creator created a mod based on suggestions from his community, which now bears the strange title Todd Howard Immortal Snail Mod.

This mod ensures that the player is permanently pursued by a snail, which leads to instant death upon contact. But as if that weren’t creepy enough, the snail is a cardboard cutout of Todd Howard.

The cardboard Todd comes from a mod by creator dpillari and is available at  Nexusmods. The display is also adorned with a speech bubble with the words “It Just Works.”

And what can we say, it really does work. Especially in cutscenes, Todd Howard slowly approaching the player is pure comedy gold.

In the following video, you’ll see exploding NPCs, rain showers of pets, and giant cockroaches in addition to Snail Todd. The snail starts at minute 6:

Fallout fans are excited

Blurbs also posted a clip featuring the mod Reddit, and users are celebrating the idea. “Please don’t ever stop, I love these videos,” writes _Trikku.

“The fact that it moves while you’re stuck in a cutscene and casts shadows adds to the horror,” says Golden-Owl

Ruine82 turns the whole thing into a nightmare for Bethesda fans and jokes:  “Legend has it that every time Todd Howard kills someone in Fallout 4, Elder Scrolls 6 is delayed by another year.” Blurbs isn’t just wreaking havoc in Fallout 4, by the way; he’s also taken Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2 to a whole new level of entertainment with his mods. For example, he made sure that every NPC in the game is drunk, and with another mod, he gave all characters memories that the player sees when they kill them. You can find out more about this in the box above.
