The U.S.S. Voyager returns on February 18, 2026. The strategy game based on the 30-year-old TV series will get a new, improved demo before its release.

The infinite vastness of the Delta Quadrant is within reach for PC and console gamers. After years of waiting for a worthy adaptation of the U.S.S. Voyager’s journey, Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown, announced in 2025, is about to be released.

Publisher Daedalic Entertainment has now announced the release date: The wait will be over on February 18, when the ship under the command of Kathryn Janeway sets course for Earth once again.

New video about the battles

If you don’t want to wait until February, you can take a look at the updated demo now. It is available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, while the update for the PC version on Steam is expected to follow shortly.

To coincide with the announcement of the release date, the development team has released a comprehensive video. This Combat Deep Dive showcases one of the game’s core systems:

Improved Demo Voyager

According to their own statements, the developers have consistently implemented the feedback from the first test phase in October. The user interface is now supposed to appear much tidier and the feedback during ship control noticeably more precise.

The combat speed in particular has been refined to better capture the dynamics of space battles. In addition, the new version offers more guidance on the important moral decisions that are at the heart of Star Trek. Please note, however, that voice output is still not integrated in the demo. According to the information available, a version for the Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for a later date.

Across the Unknown: Editions at a glance

Pre-orders for Star Trek: Voyager – Across the Unknown are now live in digital stores. In addition to the Standard Edition for just under $40, a Deluxe Edition is available for an additional $10.

This expands the main campaign with five additional missions and two new recruitable crew members. You also get access to three new technologies inspired by encounters in the Delta Quadrant. All additional content is said to be fully integrated into the story – it remains to be seen whether this gap in the Standard Edition will have a negative impact.
