Fans have released an Ultimate Cut Content Restoration Mod for the role-playing game, which allows you to reactivate content that Larian had actually deleted.

Baldur’s Gate 3 simply never gets boring for many players. But if you do ever find yourself losing interest, a new fan project could give you a new lease of life.

Although the role-playing game is already packed with content, Larian removed truckloads of weapons, armor, and other items before the release, which can now be returned to your game with a mod.

Too many items to list

The mod is called Ultimate Cut Content Restoration Mod, and you can download it download it from NexusMods.

What’s included? We can’t list everything here, but we do have a few highlights for you.

  • Non-magical items, for example:
    • Slingshots and throwing darts
    • Druid armor
    • Githyanki armor pieces
    • Armor pieces from Oathbreaker, Dreamwalker, and Nightsong
  • Weapons:
    • Various axes, such as the Shadow Battleaxe
    • Daggers, such as the Arcane Absorption Dagger
    • Flails, such as the Planeslayer Flail
    • Crossbows, such as the Magical Hand Crossbow
    • Swords, such as the Githyanki Longsword
    • Hammers, morning stars, rapiers, and spears
  • Armor:
    • Sarevok’s Wretched Armor
    • Ironwood Breastplate
  • Shields
  • Helms
  • Gloves
  • Boots
  • Cloaks
  • Amulets and rings
  • Consumables
    • Arrows, such as the Arrow of Giant Slaying
    • Weapon coatings, such as Assassin’s Blood
    • Potions, such as Elixir of Force Resistance
  • Summoning items
  • Abilities for items and classes

How do I get the items? The Ultimate Cut Content Restoration Mod isn’t the first fan expansion for Baldur’s Gate 3 that lets you restore deleted items, but it brings all these mods together and immersively integrates the content into your game.

Instead of simply adding the items to your inventory, they are collected in the so-called Treasure Tables. These determine what merchants sell, what killed NPCs drop, what can be found in chests, and so on. If you don’t want to find the items yourself while playing, you can also check out the exact spawns in the mod description under the Articles tab.
