The Black Eye has already had a few video game adaptations. Drakensang and its sequel, for example. And in 2022, a visual novel called Wolves on the Westwind from DSA publisher Ulisses’ in-house game company. They have now unveiled another game set in Aventuria:The Black Cat – A Furry Tale.

It is based on the DSA spin-off The Black Cat, a stand-alone role-playing game in which you play intelligent cats instead of elves, dwarves and humans. In A Furry Tale, you experience what happens at night in the port city of Havena when its other inhabitants are asleep. You alternate between two whiskered protagonists with different abilities

Graphically, this looks quite simple in the first trailer (although already much more elaborate than the studio’s last game), and you shouldn’t expect any highly complex game mechanics – the main focus here is on exploring the unusual setting and experiencing a story. The game will be released at an as yet unknown date, but you can already try it out for free (a demo on Steam)
