With Update 6, called “Servants of the Twilight,” the survival hit Enshrouded is introducing new nighttime challenges for brave adventurers.
Just in time for the victory celebrations at the 2025 German Computer Game Awards, Keen Games has released the sixth content update for its acclaimed early access game Enshrouded (86 percent positive Steam reviews).
Under the title “Thralls of Midnight,” the more than four million players of Enshrouded can expect a dark twist: the already menacing miasma has been visually revamped, and night becomes a dangerous setting for new challenges and rewards.
As always, you can find all the patch notes for Update 6 to version 0.8.1.0 on page 2.
Nighttime dangers lure with new attractions
Those who have shied away from venturing into the darkness of Enshrouded now have a compelling reason to overcome their fears. Servants of the Twilight introduces new resources and loot that can only be found at night and can be used to craft and upgrade powerful weapons.
But nighttime exploration comes with its own dangers: A new breed of scavenger dogs, the pack wolves, as well as additional, more dangerous miasma creatures in temporary and permanent contaminated areas stand in the way of brave adventurers. As additional incentives, plants and insects that only sprout in the dark, as well as the occasional mysterious portal, await.
The Miasma – now even more threatening
The thick fog of the Miasma, which has always held treasures and dangers, has undergone a visual overhaul with the new update. Thanks to improved light rendering, the contamination now looks more natural and ominous, both from the outside and from the inside.
The danger is real: in addition to the toxic nature of the miasma, new enemies now lurk here, such as the fog diver, the stalker, and the fearsome brood queen. Those who venture into the contaminated areas can look forward to silver-tier reward chests, numerous new resources and recipes, including armor dye kits, materials for weapon gems, powerful channeling spells, and many more miasma-specific goods.
The new features at a glance
The Enshrouded update Thralls of Midnight brings a wealth of new content and improvements, here are the feature highlights:
