We haven’t only known that games in the Star Wars universe can tell good stories since Knights of the Old Republic or Jedi: Fallen Order. The chances of another high-calibre storyteller at the Game Awards 2021 have increased considerably, because behind the freshly announced Star Wars: Eclipse is none other than Quantic Dream, who are responsible for Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls and Detroit: Become Human.

Eclipse will be the first video game set in the relatively recent High Republic era, several decades before the events of Episode 1, when the Jedi Order was still at its peak. The story is said to span several characters acting out of different motivations.

A release date was not mentioned. However, according to the developers, the game is still in an early state.
