Fans of Skull & Bones have been kept in suspense by Ubisoft for a long time. The release of a first gameplay trailer increased the anticipation for the new game accordingly. Now the title is being postponed again.

Ubisoft has already taken a long time with information and trailers for Skull & Bones in the past. Now the developers are pushing back the release of the game even further. According to the last announcement, the game was supposed to be released on 8 November. The new release is set for March 9 2023

This is not, however, the first time Ubisoft has delayed the release of the long-awaited pirate game. Originally, the game was planned for 2018. In total, Ubisoft has postponed the release of Skull & Bones a whole five times.

Community no longer believes in the release

Of course, Ubisoft’s postponement mania is not leaving the community unscathed. Even if the game about exciting sea battles and being a pirate sounds promising, especially for fans of the popular Assassin’s Creed part Black Flag, five years is a long time to wait.

The community’s disappointment is especially high because the announcement about the postponement came so close to the original November release date.

Whether this is the last time Ubisoft will push Skull & Bones back remains to be seen.
