The Resident Evil Requiem PC requirements have been announced a few days ahead of the February 27 launch. Both the minimum and recommended specifications are relatively low.

This means that even older systems will be able to run the survival horror game. According to the published data, expensive hardware upgrades are not absolutely necessary.

Minimum requirements for Resident Evil Requiem

First, the game requires a 64-bit operating system. Windows 11 is supported in the 64-bit version.

The minimum processor requirement is an Intel Core i5 8500 or AMD Ryzen 5 3500. In addition, 16 GB of RAM is required.

The list specifies a GeForce GTX 1660 with 6 GB or a Radeon RX 5500 XT with 8 GB as the graphics card. DirectX 12 is also required.

Recommended PC specifications

For better performance, Capcom also recommends Windows 11 64-bit. An Intel Core i7 8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5500 processor is specified.

Here, too, 16 GB of RAM remains mandatory. The recommended graphics card is a GeForce RTX 2060 Super with 8 GB or a Radeon RX 6600 with 8 GB.

DirectX 12 is also required.

16 GB RAM as a possible bottleneck

While many components are already several years old, the RAM could become a problem for some systems. Even with the minimum requirements, Resident Evil Requiem requires 16 GB of RAM.

Some games still allow 8 GB as a minimum. Nevertheless, the number of titles requiring 16 GB is increasing.

Further technical details to be announced

It is not yet known what resolution or frame rate the recommended specifications refer to. There is also no information on the download size.

According to the information available so far, Resident Evil Requiem combines stealth elements with action-packed passages. This is made possible by two playable protagonists.

Shortly before the release, there were also leaks. Capcom asked the community not to spread any spoilers until after the release.

Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27 for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
